Interschool Sport
The second half of term 2 has been full of sport events for years 7-10, as well as the Year 11/12 Boys Football NMR Finals, with the team finishing runner-up in their pool.
The different sports for year 7-10 included: soccer, football, badminton and netball.
We have had strong representation in each of the sports and it has been great to witness the teamwork and skills that the squads have displayed.
Congratulations to the following teams that won their event days and have advanced through to regional finals:

Darebin Division Athletics Carnival
The Darebin Division Athletics Carnival was held at Meadowglen International Athletics Stadium on Friday May 26. We had a strong squad of 60 students.
There were eight different schools competing, with almost 500 athletes in total registered.
Our Thornbury team performed exceptionally well, winning 26 individual events and six 4x100m relays. Winners of events have now qualified for the NMR Athletics Carnival on Wednesday August 30.
North Metro Region Cross Country
The NMR Cross Country was held at Kilmore Racing Club on Wednesday June 14.
We had some outstanding results, including three top five finishes.
Fatima Kodsi (Y8) - 3rd place in 14 girls age
India Morland (Y12) - 3rd place in 17-20 girls age
Lachlan O'Brien (Y12) - 5th place in 17-20 boys age
All three have now qualified for the State event on July 13 at Yarra Glen.
