Nazareth Spectacular 

Rehearsals for the Nazareth Spectacular are well under way! The Naz Spectacular is a compilation of multiple musical theatre items that will be performed by our students at Showcase on 6 October, 2022. Rehearsals are each Thursday after school from 3.30 - 5.00 pm for students involved. Further details including the rehearsal schedule can be found on the Teams page. Please visit the Performing Arts office if you are not on the Teams page or if you have further questions.  

Nazareth Talent Quest – Nazareth Day 

Calling out to any student or groups of students who wish to participate in the Nazareth Talent Quest that will take place on 18 August – Nazareth Day. Acts can include singing, dancing, acting, music, comedy, skits etc. Please contact the Performing Arts Department to sign up. 

Instrumental Lessons

We continue to offer instrumental lessons on all instruments at Nazareth in Semester 2. If any student is interested in signing up for lessons, sign up forms can be found on SiMON under Knowledge Banks – Music. We offer lesson on all Woodwind, Brass, String and Percussion instruments as well as Piano, Guitar, Bass and Voice. Our instrumental teachers are:

Mr Matthew Trigge – Brass

Mr Thomas Bell – Woodwind

Ms Simone Sun – Strings

Ensemble Program

Our ensemble program welcomes all students from Nazareth College, no matter on year level or experience. Most of our ensembles rehearse for an hour once a week and are also run by our instrumental teachers. The ensembles offered at Nazareth College in Semester 1 are:

Junior Band – Monday After School

Senior Contemporary Band – Monday After School

Percussion Ensemble – Monday lunchtime (Please see Mr Trigge)

Guitar Ensemble – Tuesday After School

Choir – Wednesday After School

String Ensemble – Thursday Morning

Junior Strings – Thursday Lunch Time

LIT Band – Thursday After School
