Year 12 Formal
Term 2 concluded with the Year 12 formal; a celebration and reflection of the Year 12 cohort’s final year together. Students arriving at the venue spent the opening moments catching up and admiring each other's formal wear before transitioning to the first meal of the night.
Highlights of the evening included the awards ceremony, which allowed for individual students within the year level to be exemplified and appreciated for their effort, character and integrity; ranging from the Best Dressed to the Best Friendship Pair to the Most Likely to be Famous. Though initially timid, by the end of the night, the dance floor was full of students getting together to dance, whether it be through watching others break moves in the middle of dance circles, or linking arms for the Zorba sirtaki. Throughout the night, the photo booth brought together close friends to immortalise their companionship through humorous poses, while professional photographers gave students the chance to take high quality photos with their favourite peers, groups and teachers.
The night concluded with a closing speech by the College Captains thanking the teachers and students for attending, in particular Ms Hughes for her fantastic organisation of the event, and finally ending with a farewell to First Aid Officer, Mr Paull Ziegeler, who concluded his time at Nazareth.
Overall, it was a passionately energetic and boisterous night, one that was certainly the highlight of the year thus far.
