STAGE 3 ACS DEBATING COMPETITION

This week our debaters took on Round 3 of the Armidale Catholic Schools Competition. Given that both teams were competing against St Edward's Tamworth, we decided to hold the debates live. 

On Monday, our Team B travelled to St Edward's to compete. They were the affirmative team arguing the topic "That we should ban fast food advertising". Sidney, Harper, Ivy and Liv were incredibly persuasive and were awarded the win. 

On Tuesday, our Team A hosted St Edward's for their debate. They were the negative team debating the same topic. Whilst Hugh, Patrick, Ruby and Ellianna put up strong arguments and rebuttals, the win was awarded to St Edward's. 

Both teams should be incredibly proud of themselves, as they put in a lot of work preparing, and spoke confidently and persuasively on the day.
