NAPLAN wrap up
Ms Karen Ritchie
The 2026 NAPLAN assessment period has now concluded, with students across the school completing tests in Reading, Writing, Language Conventions (spelling, grammar, and punctuation), and Numeracy. These assessments provide an important opportunity for students to showcase their learning and celebrate their growth.
While this year’s testing period began with some initial technical disruptions, our students approached the situation with maturity and determination. They adapted quickly to the challenges, remained focused, and continued to give their best efforts throughout each session. It was especially heartening to see the resilience and perseverance they demonstrated in facing unexpected challenges.
We know that NAPLAN can be a stressful time for students and families alike. Despite this, our students approached the assessments with focus and determination. We are incredibly proud of the effort they put in—the resilience and adaptability they have shown are just as important as the academic skills being assessed and reflect the very best of our school values.
We also extend our thanks to staff for their organisation and support during the testing period, helping students feel settled and ready to do their best, and to families for the encouragement provided at home.
Well done to all students—you should feel proud of the effort and dedication you demonstrated throughout this important process.
