Principal's Report

Mrs Pauline Barker

2026 Greensborough College School Council

School Councils are an essential part of Victorian government schools, offering members a rewarding opportunity to contribute to their school community. Working collaboratively, council members support the principal to ensure students receive the highest quality educational experience.

Each member brings unique skills, perspectives, and expertise to the table. Councillors help shape the school’s longterm direction, engage with data and financial reports, and navigate key legislative and policy responsibilities.

2026 College Leaders’ Induction Ceremony

On Tuesday 3rd of March, we proudly inducted our new college leaders into their formal roles. Parents and families joined us for this special occasion. We were honoured to welcome the Mayor of Banyule, Cr Alison Champion, as our distinguished guest. Together with our School Council President, Angela Romas, they presented the student leaders with their certificates and badges.

These students have been chosen as emerging leaders within our community. Leadership carries significant responsibility; it is not defined by a title, but by actions. In their roles, our leaders will:

  • develop their personal strengths
  • contribute actively to the wider school community
  • serve as positive role models
  • influence practices, policies and the people around them
  • and proudly represent Greensborough College

Already, our student leaders have demonstrated initiative and commitment through their involvement in:

  • College tours
  • Swimming and Athletics Carnivals
  • Providing thoughtful feedback to the leadership team

We are incredibly proud of these young people and the leadership qualities they have already shown.

I offer my warmest congratulations to all our newly inducted leaders. I encourage you to strive to be the best leader, the best learner, and the best person you can be—both throughout your time at Greensborough College and well into your future.
