Every Day Counts – School Attendance at OLSC
At OLSC, we prioritise regular school attendance and work in partnership with families to ensure students are in class, learning alongside their peers and teachers, and enjoying all the benefits that school brings.
Every day at school counts. It’s an opportunity for your child to learn, build friendships, have fun and take part in experiences that can shape their future. We understand that there are times when your child may need to miss school. If your child is experiencing difficulties attending school, please reach out to their teacher or wellbeing leader. We are here to listen, help and work with you to find the right support.
We recognise that parents and carers can face daily challenges when getting children to school. If your child needs to be absent, please notify us as soon as possible through the school office or by completing our Student Absence Notification Form.
By working together, we can support your child’s attendance, wellbeing and learning.

Positive Behaviours for Learning
As part of our ongoing development as a PBL school we continue to explicitly teach & model expectations from our matrix. Our data has shown that we need to reteach the following expectations from our matrix.
Respect
- We use kind words and actions
- We listen to and follow the instructions of all staff
Responsibility
- We take care of our belongings
- We move around the school in a safe way
- We wear the correct school uniform
Resilience
- We actively participate in all school activities
- We work cooperatively
We encourage all families to talk to their children about these expectations...what they look like, sound like & feel like.
Feel free to email Sandy or Kiah or call the school office if you have any concerns or need help at any time.
