I have been blown away by the talent showcased in rehearsal, especially at our recent sitzprobe. A sitzprobe is the first rehearsal between the orchestra and the cast. Our student instrumentalists played alongside industry professionals over two days in preparation for opening night. It was a challenging rehearsal where students pushed through what they thought were their limits to reach new heights in their performances. I was so inspired by the talent showcased.

Our set is also being finalised by our phenomenal Hands on Learning students who have built and painted three Grecian-inspired set pieces for the play of Mamma Mia! to take place. These students are so proud of what they have created and excited to have something they have built be used by the production!

Victorian State School Spectacular

We are thrilled to announce that Cranbourne East Secondary College will once again be represented in this year’s Victorian State Schools Spectacular!

This incredible event brings together thousands of students from across Victoria to showcase their talents in music, dance and performance on one of the biggest stages in the state.

We are so proud of our students who will be participating in the Mass Dance Ensemble and the Mass Choir. Their dedication, energy and hard work over the past months will culminate in an unforgettable performance that celebrates creativity, teamwork and the joy of the arts.

The Victorian State Schools Spectacular will be performed live at John Cain Arena on Saturday, 13 September, with two shows (1pm and 6:30pm). It will also be broadcast later in the year on the Seven Network.

Tickets are on sale now through Ticketek – don’t miss your chance to see this spectacular celebration of Victorian students’ talent live on stage!
