As we reach the halfway point of the term, it’s a great time to reflect on the many achievements and experiences that have shaped our school community so far. Earlier this term, we celebrated World Principal Day, which reminded me of how fortunate I am to work alongside such a dedicated and supportive team of staff who make everything possible for our students. We also successfully held our Course Counselling sessions and Subject Expo, giving students valuable opportunities to explore their pathways for the future.
Our Year 9 students embraced the City Experience program, developing independence and practical skills in a real-world setting, while NAIDOC Week was marked with meaningful celebrations that deepened our understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. A big highlight was welcoming the Premier of Victoria to our college, where our four school captains proudly showcased our facilities, programs, and vibrant school community.
Looking ahead, there is still so much to be excited about this term. Our talented cast and crew are preparing for the much-anticipated annual production of Mamma Mia!, which promises to be a highlight of the school calendar. We also look forward to important wellbeing initiatives, including R U OK? Day and Wear It Purple Day, both of which encourage inclusion, awareness, and care for one another.
Our Year 9 students will soon take part in mock job interviews, an invaluable step in preparing for life beyond school, and we can’t wait to see the creativity and innovation on display at our annual 4C’s Showcase. With so much to celebrate and look forward to, I feel immensely proud of our students, staff, and community, and I thank you all for your ongoing support this term so far.
