Year 8 Camp

Adventure Camp – Phillip Island

From 1st to 3rd June, our Year 8 students headed to Phillip Island for three action-packed days of adventure camp. Despite some cold and wet weather, students embraced every opportunity on offer with enthusiasm and resilience.

The camp program was packed with thrilling activities designed to build confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Students tackled the high ropes course and giant swing, tested their precision on the archery range, navigated canoes across the water, and worked together through a series of initiative courses that challenged them to communicate and collaborate.

A highlight of the trip was the visit to the famous Penguin Parade, where students watched the Little Penguins make their way ashore at dusk — a magical experience and a true Phillip Island icon. Students also enjoyed walks along the local beach, taking in the natural coastal scenery between activities.

Camp is always a fantastic opportunity for students to step outside their comfort zones, build new friendships, and develop independence away from the classroom. A huge congratulations to all our Year 8 students for their positive attitude and willingness to give everything a go — rain or shine!

We'd also like to thank the staff who accompanied students and made the camp such a success.
