Don’t B Flat

Norwood’s music program hosted our first ever lunch time concert, ‘Don’t B Flat’, in coordination with the wellbeing team and students.

The show featured performances from soloists, bands and duos from a range of year levels and truly highlighted our diverse talent at Norwood.

Thank you to Marlea Sheehan who was imperative in the organisation of the event and who also was the MC for the show as well as a perfomer and thank you to all students involved in the performance. The atmosphere was so joyful, and it was fantastic to see so many students and staff watching and cheering everyone on. Our next ‘Don’t B Flat’ performance will be held on R U OK? Day on Thursday 10 September. We hope to see you there!

The evening was a fabulous showcase of the talent we have at Norwood and the quality of performances was a true testament to the hard work of the students both in their voice lessons and outside the classroom. Congratulations to all the students who participated!

Junior Woodwind and Brass Soiree

We also had the pleasure of hosting our second woodwind and brass soiree for the year which featured students in Years 7 and 8 who do instrumental music lessons. The evening was a great opportunity for some students to perform on their chosen instrument for the very first time in front of their parents, carers and peers, which is always extremely inspiring to watch. Thank you especially to Mr Dema who hosted and organised the event and congratulations to all the hardworking students involved.
