School Holidays

As we transition from the end of term one into school holidays, we recognise this may be a difficult time for members of our student community.

While the structure and routine of school provide comfort and a sense of safety for many, the change in routine can be challenging for others to adjust to.

If you find yourself feeling uncertain throughout the school holidays, please know that support is available. We encourage you to speak with your parents or guardians about your feelings and to check in regularly with your friends. You might also like to reach out to Kids Helpline through their website or call them at 1800 55 1800

Here are a few tips to make the transition to holidays a bit less stressful:

  • Try to keep your sleep schedule similar to that during the school term
  • Don’t let screens replace sleep, social connections or exercise
  • Make time for your hobbies and interests
  • Keep some structure to your day, but don’t over-schedule yourself
  • Try to get back into your school-term routine a couple of days before the start of Term 2

We hope you all have a great, stress-free holiday, and we can’t wait to see you all again for Term 2!
