Kids Corner

The Kids Corner section of this fortnight’s newsletter features a holiday recount from Vivaan (Year 3) and a narrative from Sineysha (Year 5). I trust you enjoy it just as much as I have!

My Winter Holiday – Vivaan

On my winter holiday I went to the Skygarden and watched the gorgeous greenery while swinging on the bars. Then we went home, I read for 15 – 20 minutes and then played indoor soccer in our house. We were taking turns shooting and saving goals from going into the net – it was lots of fun!

Then we watched a movie from 7 o’clock and then I went to bed at 10:30.

It was a great day!

The Missing Clock – Sineysha

It was a cold afternoon at the city of love, the streets were bustling with excitement as people scurried from one vendor to the next. It was the annual festival to celebrate the competition before the tournament began.

All the best clock makers from Paris would gather at the Eiffel Tower to present their clock in the hope to receive the title “Best Clockmaker!”, one million dollars and to chose next year’s theme.

This year’s theme is “Cherry Blossom”. The competitors were Brock James (the current champion from last 3 years), Kathy Louise (a kind mother of 2 and former school principal, well known for their sports teams) and Mister Silver (known by everyone, but no one knows much about him except that he’s always been single, loves clocks, art and anything else creative).

The games start in a week, and everyone is excited and wondering who will win this year? Will it be Brock again – for the fourth time?
