Children’s Book Week 

Children’s Book Week is a special time when children all around Australia celebrate the joy of reading and storytelling. This year it will be celebrated from 24th-28th August with the theme “Symphony of Stories,” which reminds us that every story has its own unique voice and that together, stories create something magical. 

During Book Week, the children will have the opportunity to dress up as their favourite book characters, listen to stories, share books with friends, and explore new adventures through reading, we look forward to providing an in depth overview of the program shortly.

A copy of the Children’s Book Council of Australia Book of Year shortlisted and winning books will be available in the Library for students to read and be inspired to develop a lifelong love of literature. The Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Book of the Year Awards recognises some of the best Australian books written and illustrated for children and young people. These awards help readers discover exciting new books and celebrate talented authors and illustrators who bring stories to life.
