Battery Blitz is back!
The City of Casey has announced the Battery Blitz program is back. Hillsmeade is taking part again. You can help us win a party by bringing in old and unused batteries from home.
Household batteries accepted: AAA, AA, C, D, 9V, 6V, and button cell sizes only.
The competition has started and we have already collected one tub of batteries for recycling. Please bring any of the above used batteries to school for our Marine Team to safely package and send off to be recycled.
When batteries go into our kerbside bins, they cause fires, they need to go in specialist drop-off points. Our school can be your drop off point so we can safely send them to be recycled.

Sat, 22 Nov, 9am - 2pm - 30 Vesper Dr Narre Warren
Got old clothes not suitable for the opp shop, linens, soft plastics or unwanted electronics cluttering your home? City of Casey is partnering with Textile Recyclers Group, Ewaste, and APR Plastics to make recycling them easy!
Please note: This event is exclusively for City of Casey residents and for household quantities only. Businesses and large volumes cannot be accepted.
How it Works:
Carefully separate your CLEAN and DRY items into each category in labelled bags or boxes:
For ease of handling, please avoid using very large, heavy bags.
A Note on Quality: When deciding whether to donate items to a local charity or bring them for recycling, consider if you would be happy to receive the item as a gift. Items in less-than-best condition are perfect for recycling with us!
Textiles must be CLEAN and DRY (stained is okay if clean).
