School Related Information

Personal Property at school 

The Department of Education does not hold insurance for personal property brought to schools and it has no capacity to pay for any loss or damage to such property. We do not encourage students to bring precious or valuable items to school and those items that are brought to school are your child’s responsibility.

Student Accident Insurance Arrangements 

Parents are reminded that the Department of Education does not provide personal accident insurance for students. Parents are responsible for paying the cost of medical treatment for injured students, including the cost of ambulance transport.  Accident insurance policies are available from commercial insurers for those families who are interested.
