Our Commitment to Online Safety

We believe that preparing students to navigate the digital world safely is just as important as teaching literacy and numeracy. That’s why Oatlands Primary School has partnered with the Cyber Safety Project to implement the Cyber Safe Classroom Curriculum.

Why It Matters

Children are growing up in a world shaped by technology, gaming, social media, and AI. While these tools offer incredible opportunities, they also come with risks. Our curriculum helps students:

• Understand how to stay safe and protect their privacy

• Recognise and respond to online challenges like cyberbullying

• Build empathy, resilience, and respectful digital habits

What You Can Expect

Your child will participate in age-appropriate lessons delivered by classroom teachers, featuring interactive activities and a focus on four core values: Responsibility, Integrity, Strength, and Empathy.

How You Can Support at Home

You play a vital role in your child’s digital safety journey. We encourage you to talk regularly about your child’s online experiences and model safe habits. 

Together, we can build a safer digital future for our students.
