LANGUAGES SOCIETY STAND AT THE CLUBS FAIR AT EAST CAMPUS

On Thursday 20 February, three other language leaders and I set up a stall to promote the Languages Society. We started setting up our stand during period 4 and we only just finished once the bell had rung. Our stand had a tablecloth with a map of France on top. We also displayed posters on the wall and French and Spanish board games.

We had a list of possible events the Languages Society could organise with options including: trivia, Education Perfect tournaments, French, German and Spanish food trucks, language help and cultural films. The clear favourite were the food trucks having more than double the votes of anything else so the Languages Society will be trying especially hard to organise that for later on in the year. We also had a sign-up sheet at our stall and by the end of lunch we had many students interested in joining the Languages Society.

The stand was a great success! There are now many more people interested in the Languages Society and we now know what to prioritise when organising events. We had a great time running the stand and I think it’s great that we have a club fair at McKinnon East!
