BOOK OF THE WEEK

The following books were recently featured in our Book of the Week display:

The Haunted House on Hollow Hill by Derek Landy

For fans of the creepy and supernatural comes the latest instalment from Derak Landy; The Haunted House on Hollow Hill. Continuing the Skulduggery Pleasant series this book sees Skulduggery Pleasant and Valkyrie Cain at the most haunted house in Britain.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Wrath of the Triple Goddess by Rick Riordan

Another new instalment in a hugely popular series is the Wrath of the Triple Goddess, from Rick Riordan. This book follows on from Chalice of the Gods.

Percy Jackson has saved the world multiple times – battling monsters, Titans, even death himself – so graduating high school should be a breeze, right? Wrong. Percy needs three recommendation letters from the gods before his final year in high school comes to an end. And one thing Percy knows, the gods on Mount Olympus don’t do anything for free.

HIGH INTEREST READS

The library has recently added some high interest reads that aim to build engagement and reading confidence.

Published by Barrington Stoke this collection of books are super readable, have lots of chapter breaks and dyslexic friendly font. These books will also be available at East Campus, alternatively they can be reserved by students via the library catalogue.
