Confirmation – Keep the Date Free

Confirmation preparation has begun for our Year 6 students – Isabelle, Isabella and Ella. This is a very important step in their faith journey, and we look forward to celebrating with them next term when the Bishop visits to confer the Sacrament of Confirmation.

This special occasion will take place on Friday, 1st November at 6:00 pm, which is also our Parish’s Feast Day. The celebrations will continue on Monday, 3rd November, when the whole school will gather to honour our saints. All students are warmly invited to support our Confirmation candidates by attending Mass on Saturday and by joining in the Saints Parade on Monday.

In preparation, teachers will help each student select a Saint to learn about and dress as. Students will be provided with images and symbols to create a simple costume. More importantly, they will be encouraged to understand what their chosen Saint achieved during their lifetime and reflect on how we might emulate their example in our own lives.

We ask that you please keep Isabelle, Isabella and Ella in your prayers as they prepare for this important Sacrament.
