Halfway Through the Term!

And just like that, we are already more than halfway through the term! As always, the weeks have been packed with engaging activities across all key learning areas. Reading the class highlights in each fortnightly newsletter is a wonderful way to keep up to date with what’s happening in your child’s classroom. With every edition, teachers share a snapshot of the learning experiences that have been inspiring the children.

One of the pieces of good news in this edition is that the Year 2/3 class have moved back into their permanent classroom!! And just as joyous, our music students and Mrs Thomsen have moved back into the music room. How lovely to be back in our rightful spots! We are very grateful for all of the tradespeople who worked together to make this happen.

As the weather warms, it is a good time to remind families about the importance of school uniforms. Uniforms are more than just attire – they foster a sense of community, belonging, and pride, while also reducing social differences and encouraging inclusivity. A well-presented student body reflects the positive culture of our school, both within our community and to the wider public. At All Saints, when our students wear their uniform well and live our baseline behaviour of Present with Pride, they truly represent the amazing work happening in our classrooms.

This term, students are still expected to wear the full winter uniform, including a long-sleeve shirt and tie. Mornings remain chilly, so we recommend bringing the V-neck jumper each day, even when afternoons are warmer. Spring weather can be very changeable. Please also remember that shoes must be completely black – no grey, white, or silver detailing – and should be comfortable for active play and movement.

A gentle reminder: label, label, label! Clearly marking all uniform items with the current owner’s name helps prevent unnecessary loss and the cost of replacements. We currently have multiple items in our lost property with previous student names or no readable names at all.

Looking ahead, we are excited to be travelling to Wagga in a couple of weeks for the Eisteddfod. We know our students will impress with their choral speaking skills – and with their immaculate uniforms worn with pride!
