Musical Milestones
Our inaugural Musical Milestones concert on Wednesday, 10th September was a wonderful celebration of student talent and musical growth. This brand-new event brought together families to watch our students shine on stage in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere.
Students enrolled in private music lessons from every year level performed solos, duets, or trios. It was amazing to see the confidence and skill our musicians have developed throughout the year. Our music staff also performed, providing inspiring examples for our aspiring musicians.
The success of this first Musical Milestones has set a wonderful foundation for what we hope will become an annual event. Thank you and well done to all performers.
School Production 2026
We are thrilled to announce that next year, Monivae will be putting on their first musical since 2019! This marks an exciting return to musical theatre productions, and we couldn't be more excited to bring this beloved art form back to our school community.
Students were given information today about the musical and the audition process. It will be a charming production filled with catchy songs, memorable characters, and plenty of laughs. We encourage all students with an interest in performing, music, or technical theatre to start thinking about how they might like to be involved.
Expression of interest forms have been emailed to students. They are encouraged to fill these out soon. Audition material will be sent to students once an EOI form is completed. Auditions will be held in Week 5, Term 4.
We will be looking for parent helpers for the production. If you would love to volunteer some time and have a special skill such as sewing, set building, makeup, hair, or choreography, please email music@monivae.vic.edu.au.
Stay tuned for more updates!
