Mathematics Challenge for Young Australians – Challenge Stage
Jacinta Ryan
Eleven students from Year 7, 8 and 9 entered the Challenge Stage of the Mathematics Challenge for Young Australians. It is a problem-solving competition where students complete six problems over a three-to-four-week period. It is designed to help motivate, stimulate, encourage and develop mathematically interested and talented students.
Congratulations to Anika Pohl, Mikela Pohl in Year 8 and Archie Templeton in Year 9 who achieved a Credit certificate in this challenging competition.
Participation certificates were awarded to eight students in Year 7 who attempted the competition for the first time.
The certificates will be presented to students early in Term 4.
Congratulations to all students who entered the competition.
