CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS: PARENTS ASSOCIATION AND MAZENOD HELPING HANDS
The object of the Parents Association is to serve and support the College in its mission by:
- Investing in the educational, creative, sporting and pastoral amenities.
- Providing a means of support, information and involvement of parents, guardians and carers in their son’s education and the College community.
- Encouraging collaboration and communication between parents, guardians and carers of the College.
- Supporting and nurturing the College community.
With the endorsement of the Principal, the Parents Association is delegated to commit funds held by the Parents Association and to hold community functions and events within the College.
The Parents Association provides a unique forum for parents/guardians to enhance each student’s journey at Mazenod College by working alongside the College leadership team to provide valuable input, guidance and feedback.
Annual General Meeting (AGM) and General Meeting
The AGM of the Parents Association will be held on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, commencing at 6:30pm in the College Boardroom.

A General Meeting will also directly follow the AGM and an Agenda for that meeting will be provided to attendees.
At the upcoming AGM, all positions on the Executive Committee will be declared vacant: President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. Any member, who is present at the AGM, or has consented in writing to be elected, shall be eligible for election to the Executive Committee. Additional nominations of Executive Committee members may be accepted from the floor of the AGM.
We will sadly bid farewell to our current Treasurer (Dan Watson), as the end of his term coincides with his younger son’s imminent graduation from the College, and he will not be renominating for the position. The position of Vice President is currently vacant.
At the AGM, our current President (Daniela Tonon) and Secretary (Sarah Adams) will renominate for a further term to assist with the transition to the new College Principal commencing in Term 1, 2026.
The Executive Committee is looking for parents/guardians who may be interested in filling the roles of Vice President and Treasurer for 2026 and any other parents who would like to support the Parents Association going forward.

Mazenod Helping Hands
Recently, the group formerly known as Mazza Mums was rebranded as ‘Mazenod Helping Hands.’ Mazenod Helping Hands is a wonderful way to get involved in the Mazenod Community and to have fun along the way! Over the course of the College year, this group supports key events on the College calendar, including the College Opening Assembly & Morning Tea, the Open Day, the Year 12 Farewell Assembly & Morning Tea and the Orientation Day for incoming Year 7 Students.
Sarah Keough, the Coordinator, welcomes volunteers to lend a helping hand!
We require your assistance with an upcoming College event, the Year 12 Farewell Assembly & Morning Tea on Friday 24 October 2025. This event will be fully catered (and funded through the Parents Association), so we are not looking for food to be donated on this occasion. We do, however, need assistance from volunteers on the day to assist with set up, service and pack down.
