Boarding News

Dear Boarding Parents and Guardians,

It has certainly been a busy time for the Cebula community with boys taking part in the Best Of the Fest concert held last Friday night. The concert  showcased the students who took part in the recent Catholic Schools Performing Arts Festival. Congratulations to Ryan who received an Excellence Award for his piano solo performance and to Seth and Merrick who also performed beautifully.

Our footballers had a huge weekend with a number of boys from Year 8 Blue, Year 9 White and the Year 11 and 12 League teams, all winning their grand final games.

Whilst we only had one boarder, Melan, in the 11 and 12 soccer team who played their grand final game this week. The team had an amazing win claiming their third consecutive  title!

Eight of our Year 11 boarders, along with a number of day boys, attended the 2025 leadership camp. I want to thank Tom, Ryan, Riley, Max, Harlan, Lucas, Noku and Baden for nominating themselves for the Head Boarder and Deputy Head Boarder roles. I look forward to seeing how their leadership journey progresses in the coming week!

With the school holidays now well within the boys sights, there’s definitely an air of excitement in Cebula Boarding House. For the Year 12s, the coming weeks leading up to the trial exams, which take place during the second week of the school holidays, will certainly be busy, not only from a study point of view but also as they prepare their move away from the Boarding house where some have spent the last six years.
