NAIDOC Week

Celebrating NAIDOC Week 2026
NAIDOC Week is an important opportunity for all Australians to celebrate and recognise the history, achievements and ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
At Pakenham Secondary College, we acknowledge the rich cultural heritage of the Bunurong people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we learn and work.
NAIDOC Week is a time to recognise and celebrate the stories, traditions and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and to reflect on the important role we all play in supporting reconciliation.
We encourage students, families and community members to take part in local NAIDOC Week events and activities. These events provide valuable opportunities to connect with community, deepen understanding and learn more about the world's oldest continuing living cultures.
We will be celebrating NAIDOC Week during Week 1 of Term 3 with some great activities organised by our Student Representative Council such as:
Indigenous Art Club
School-wide Educational Lesson
First Nations Music Showcase
'Damper Day' Baking Event
We wish everyone a meaningful and inspiring NAIDOC Week.
