Sport @ PSC

It has been a busy few weeks for our students, with strong participation and excellent sportsmanship displayed across a range of interschool sporting events.
Senior Basketball
On 2nd June, our Senior Boys and Senior Girls Basketball teams competed in the Cardinia Division Interschool Competition at Cardinia Life. Both teams represented the College with pride, demonstrating excellent teamwork and determination throughout the day. While they did not progress to the next stage of competition, the students should be congratulated on their effort, commitment, enthusiasm and positive attitude on the court.
Regional Cross Country
Following the Division Cross Country Championships, students who placed in the top 15 were invited to compete at the Regional Cross Country Championships at Hastings Foreshore. This event provides students with the opportunity to test themselves against some of the region's strongest runners and compete for a place at the State Championships.
Congratulations to all 11 students who represented Pakenham Secondary College at this challenging event. Competing at Regional level is a significant achievement and reflects the dedication and hard work these students have shown throughout the season.
Special congratulations to Yatharth Vyas, who finished in 19th place and Phoebe Sollberger, who placed 25th in their respective events.

Staff versus Students Volleyball
Students packed the Gymnasium at lunchtime on Tuesday, 23rd June, to watch the Staff versus Year 12 Volleyball match.
The match was a close contest, with both teams producing some excellent rallies and plenty of competitive moments. After an entertaining game, the Year 12 students claimed a narrow 27-25 victory over the staff.
Congratulations to our Year 12 students on the win and thank you to the staff who took to the court. It was a fantastic lunchtime activity organised by Ms Morrow and a great opportunity for students and staff to come together before the end of the term.
