Chess Tournament 

On Thursday 21st May Viewbank College hosted it's first Interschool Chess Tournament run by Northern Star Chess. 

The were 93 participants from 7 different schools that participated. Overall, ViewbankCollege came 2nd narrowly to Mazenod College, Xavier College came 3rd. 

Maanas in Year 11 won the Star of the Tournament trophy scoring the most points of the day. 

Krishna recieved a Gold in the Year 11/12 section. 

Tim recieved Silver and Rafael reieved Bronze in the Year 9/10 section. 

Nishi recieved Gold in the Girls section, Violet Silver and Sophie and Mia Bronze. 

Congratulations to all for participating and representing the College. There will be more opportunity for Chess Tournaments coming up next term and our annual Viewbank College Chess tournament in Term 4. 

Chess Club is on Thursday's at Break 1 in C6.
