VCE VM News

Over the past fortnight, our VCE VM students have been extremely busy demonstrating teamwork, creativity and community spirit across a range of projects and assessments.
One of the highlights has been the planning and organisation of our Do It For Dolly Day event. Students worked collaboratively to coordinate activities, promote the event and raise awareness about the importance of kindness and standing against bullying. Their efforts not only created a positive atmosphere within the school community but also raised money for the Dolly’s Dream programs.
Students have also recently begun their volunteering partnership with the Lion’s Club, where they are gaining hands-on experience working within the community and supporting local organisations. This opportunity is helping students build confidence, teamwork and communication skills while making meaningful contributions to local causes, such as the Lakes Entrance CFA.
Another fantastic contribution from our students was their assistance at the school’s Cross-Country event. Students supported the smooth running of the day by standing at checkpoints to direct runners, serving drinks and hot dogs, and helping staff throughout the event. Their willingness to help and positive attitude were greatly appreciated and demonstrated excellent teamwork and responsibility.
In the classroom, students are currently working hard to complete their Area of Study 2 assessments. Preparing and delivering presentations for their Big Day Out task, where they have been exploring budgeting, event planning and financial decision-making. These presentations have allowed students to further develop their confidence in public speaking and communication while demonstrating their understanding of financial and organisational skills.
We are very proud of the dedication and enthusiasm our VCE VM students continue to show across all areas of their learning and community involvement.
