Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea at LESC

Noni Standbury with Acting Principal, Daniel Clark

Lakes Entrance Secondary College was proud to recently support Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, with our school community raising an impressive $357 for a very important cause!

A huge thank you goes to Robyn and Noni for organising the event and putting together an incredible spread of delicious treats for everyone to enjoy.

It was fantastic to see staff come together, share a cuppa and support cancer research and those impacted by cancer.

We are incredibly proud of the generosity and community spirit shown across the college.

Well done everyone!

Student Facilities Upgrade Update

Works officially commenced today on our student facilities upgrade, with builders beginning their site set up around the college.

Demolition works to the existing toilet blocks are scheduled to commence on Monday, marking the next major stage of the project.

The upgrade is progressing well, with the anticipated project completion date currently set for 25th June 2026.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of our students, staff and families while these important improvements are underway and look forward to seeing the finished result take shape over the coming weeks.

Youth myki Cards Required

Young people under 18 can travel for free on Victorian public transport with a Youth myki. Buy at staffed stations, or register online by creating or logging into a myki account

Public transport operators are no longer accepting alternative arrangements, so it’s important that all students have their own Youth myki ready to use when travelling on buses or trains.

A Youth myki allows students to tap on and off for each journey and ensures they are travelling in line with current transport requirements, while also accessing concession fares.  If you're using a regional non-myki bus, show your Youth myki when you board.

A Youth myki card costs $5 to purchase.

Where to buy

Youth myki expiry

Your Youth myki expiry date depends on how you bought the card.

Purchase methodExpiry date
In-person at a train stationFour years from the date of purchase. If you register this myki, the card will show a $1 credit. You do not need to add money to the card.
OnlineYour 18th birthday. Eighteen-year-olds should get a Child myki, which gives your fifty percent off public transport fares.

Parents can use their own myki account to register and manage their child’s Youth myki.

If you have any questions or need support organising a Youth myki card, please contact the college 5155 2982.
