SBAT going at Oscar Furniture in Engineering and Fabrication (Apprenticeship)

Jamie Hallam is the contact person at Oscar Furniture 0408 422 158 if anyone would like more info. Ideally he would like the possible candidate to do a weeks WE and then possibly start ASAP. This is a great opportunity.

Victoria Police

We are excited to introduce you to a new student resource, designed specifically to assist school leavers who are interested in pursuing a career as a police officer with Victoria Police.

Inside, ‘Navigating Your Path to a Career with Victoria Police’ students will find:

• An introduction to the Police Officer role and the amazing career pathways available
• Interactive eligibility and suitability test
• Video interviews of some of our police officers, who talk about their policing careers so far
• Tips and guidelines on how to navigate the application process.

Although police make up most of our workforce, there are other opportunities available to people who want to work with us. Students could have a successful career as a Protective Services Officer, Police Custody Officer, or public service employee. Over time, they may decide to go from one role to another – there’s no limit to what they can achieve at Victoria Police!

We value all types of skill sets, embrace diversity, and appreciate the value that lived experience can provide, so there’s something for everyone.

Bendigo Bank Grants

Bendigo Bank has two grants to give to students – details are below:

• Aged group - Yr 10 – Yr 12
• Applications due - 23/10/23 (the date has been extended)
• Amount - $1500.00 each
• To be used for application to an educational institution and/or buying resources/equipment that are needed to advance study/apprenticeship
• Requirement of proof of application and then acceptance to an institution, affirmation that grant money will be transferred upon proof of acceptance / purchase of equipment (in case of apprentice)
