Welcome Back
Welcome back to Term 4! We hope all of our families had a wonderful holiday break and had the opportunity to relax, recharge and enjoy some quality time together. We are excited to be back and ready for another busy and rewarding term of learning.
In English, 5/6 students have begun preparing for their upcoming public speaking presentations later this term on the topic ‘How I See My Future…’. Students have been working collaboratively to create mind maps, sharing ideas and building on each other's thinking. It has been wonderful to see students develop their ideas, explore different possibilities for their futures and challenge themselves to think in unique and creative ways.
In Maths, 5/6 students have started our new Multiplication and Division unit. We are exploring a range of strategies and representations to help students develop a deeper understanding of multiplication and division and guide their mathematical thinking. Students will be working with area models, bar models, vertical algorithms, number bonds and the distributive property, considering how and when different strategies can be used effectively.
In Guided Inquiry, students have immersed themselves in our new Design and Technologies unit through a STEM challenge to design and construct a paper bridge capable of holding the weight of as many MAB tens as possible. Students have been introduced to the design process of investigate, generate, design, produce, test, evaluate and redesign, using each stage to develop, test and improve their bridge designs. It has been fantastic to see students collaborate, problem-solve and think creatively as they worked to strengthen and improve their designs.
Looking Ahead
We are excited for all that Term 4 has in store and look forward to a fantastic term of learning, growth and new experiences!
Warm regards,
The Senior School Team
Nick, Julia, Amanda, Gabby, Yana, Miss Liu, Roz, Miss Teo, Ciara, Claire and Sam

Attention Year 6 Families - Baby Photos for Graduation
We are looking forward to celebrating Year 6 graduation at the end of the year, with preparations already underway!
One of our beloved traditions is sharing three baby photos from between the ages of 0-5 as part of the presentation. We are asking if you could please email gradesixgraduation@gmail.com with these three photos by November 30th. We usually recommend one baby photo, one toddler and one around kinder age, but any family favourites will be great!
Also, if your child attended another school prior to MPRPS and you have their school photos, it would also be much appreciated if you could send those through.
We will send reminder messages over the coming weeks, but we like to get an early start as it takes a while to collate everything! Thank you so much for your support!
