OSHClub News

Week 1
Welcome back to another exciting term at Mount Pleasant Road OSHClub! We hope everyone had a fantastic break and is feeling refreshed and ready for another term full of fun, creativity, cooking and plenty of time to play with friends. It has been great seeing everyone back and hearing all about their holidays!
We kicked off our mornings with some delicious Breakfast Club favourites! The children enjoyed fluffy pancakes, homemade choc chip muffins, waffles, yoghurt cones and refreshing berry smoothies. There was definitely plenty of energy around the service each morning as everyone fuelled up for the day ahead!
Our Snack Squad had another tasty week, with the children enjoying popcorn, tacos, noodles, nachos and a delicious Vietnamese pho noodle soup. The children loved getting involved with preparing and enjoying different foods throughout the week, with the pho being a particular favourite!
There was no shortage of creativity this week! The children got stuck into Hama bead creations, cut-and-paste gardens, colouring competitions, dot-to-dot drawings, origami, watercolour painting, cotton ball painting, cardboard creations and felt puppets. We also enjoyed some quieter activities including Bingo, Celebrity Heads and Wordle. To finish off the week, the children put on their chef hats and baked cookies completely from scratch!
We made the most of our time outside with lots of active games and challenges. The children enjoyed soccer, hula hoops, bean bag toss, Gang Up Tag, balloon tennis, Octopus and basketball. It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, working together and having fun with their friends.
Holiday Program Highlights
What an incredible holiday program we had! Across the break, the children enjoyed a huge range of exciting experiences, adventures and special activities. From our action-packed excursions to Gumbuya World and the Royal Melbourne Show, to our movie day and creative experiences, there was something for everyone to enjoy. We also got active with plenty of games and challenges, explored animal-themed activities, enjoyed cooking and craft experiences, and made the most of our time together at OSHClub. A huge thank you to all of the children and families who helped make the holiday program such a success, we loved seeing everyone's excitement, creativity and enthusiasm throughout the break!

Accessing After hours
For the safety of all families, we ask that parents and carers enter and exit through the side pedestrian gate next to Reception when collecting children after hours, rather than through the reception area. This designated access point provides a safer route to the OSHC service and helps minimise the need for families to walk through areas that may not be supervised or accessible after school hours. Thank you for supporting our commitment to maintaining a safe environment for everyone.
Enrolling Your Child
For new enrolments, please go to https://www.oshclub.com.au/register/
A helpful video for navigating the iParent Portal and completing the enrolment process can be found on this page.
Please note: CRN numbers and all birth dates must be entered correctly if you wish to claim the Child Care Subsidy. CCS applications are submitted automatically to Centrelink when new enrolments are actioned.
Bookings
Online bookings for Rise then Shine and Stay and Play sessions close 24 hours in advance. Online bookings for the Holiday Program and Curriculum Days close 5 days in advance.
If online bookings have closed, and you would like to make or cancel a booking, please SMS the program phone on 0427 144 945.
Cancellation of Bookings
IMPORTANT: If your child is booked in for an afternoon Stay and Play session and that booking is no longer required, please cancel the booking on the iParent Portal. If you are cancelling on the day, please contact us on the program phone before 3:25pm to avoid a non-notified absence fee of $20.00 per child.
We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.
As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!
Thanks for your cooperation by notifying us of any Stay and Play absences.
