Principal's Message

Welcome back
Term 4 is set to be a very busy and exciting time for our school community! We are looking forward to celebrating the many special moments that make this time of year so memorable. We have our wonderful Festival of the Arts, Year 3/4 Camp, and the pleasure of welcoming our 2027 Foundation students for their transition sessions.
We will also come together to enjoy our Christmas Concert and celebrate the wonderful achievements of the Class of 2026 as they graduate and prepare to begin the next exciting chapter of their school journey.
Festival of the Arts- October 14th
We are ready for our much-anticipated Festival of the Arts, which promises to be a wonderful celebration of creativity and talent. The event will showcase the incredible artwork created by our students and include live perfoamnces which showcase the work of students in the area of Performing Arts.
There will be plenty happening throughout the event, including live performances, delicious food, and an Art Auction. It will be a fantastic opportunity for families and our wider school community to come together, enjoy the evening and celebrate the wonderful talents of our students.
Join us next Wednesday 14 October for our Festival of the Arts from 5pm-7pm.
Opening Ceremony: 5:00 pm
Oval Turf Upgrade
Over the holiday break, the oval has received an exciting upgrade, with new turf laid across the playing surface. This investment will provide a high-quality, durable space for our students and community to enjoy for years to come.
Over the coming weeks, it is important that we stay off the oval while the new turf establishes itself. The grass needs time for its roots to take hold and develop a strong foundation. Temporary fencing will be in place after hours.
The school holidays are also an important time for us to continue maintaining and improving our premises. With the school quieter, we are able to undertake a range of essential works and projects that help keep our facilities safe, functional and looking their best.
Over the holidays, we have had a number of jobs completed, including basketball court repair, plumbing and electrical works, air-conditioning servicing, gutter cleaning, staining of the Kinder equipment in the outdoor area, gardening and general grounds maintenance, along with many other repairs and improvements.
COLA- Covered Outdoor Learning Area
Some of you may already know that plans have been underway for some time to build a Covered Outdoor Learning Area (COLA) over the back basketball court. This will give the students shade and protcetion from wet weather duing playtime, PE and at other community events.
During the holidays, School Council representative Martin Tofts and I met with a design consultant who will guide us through the design and construction process.
We expect the project to go to tender before the end of the year, and we are hopeful that construction will commence in Term 2, 2027.
This Weekend Support Our Kinder and visit Bunnings to buy a sausage.
Have you booked your Movie Night tickets? Seats still available.
Late Arrival
If your child arrives late or leaves early, a parent or guardian must present to the school office to sign them in using the Compass kiosk. A late or early leave pass will then be issued.
2027 Planning
At this stage of the year, we have started planning for 2027. If you know that your child will be leaving us at the end of 2026, please email the office to let us know as soon as possible with the title 'Attention Louise and Claudia' .
