Year 5 & 6

Around our level

On Tuesday the 10th of June, our Year 5 and 6 students proudly represented the school at the Winter Gala Day. It was a fantastic day of sport, teamwork, and friendly competition, with students demonstrating excellent sportsmanship and enthusiasm throughout the event.

Students participated in a variety of sports, including AFL 9s, Volleybounce, Hot Shots Tennis, Mixed Netball, Girls Netball, and Soccer. Across all teams, students showed determination, resilience, and a willingness to challenge themselves, while supporting their teammates. It was wonderful to see students encouraging one another, celebrating successes, and displaying positive attitudes regardless of the results.

Winter Gala Day provides students with the opportunity to develop their sporting skills, build confidence, and strengthen friendships with their peers. We were incredibly proud of the way our students conducted themselves both on and off the field and courts. They were respectful to officials, supportive of their teammates, and excellent ambassadors for our school.

A special thank you goes to our fantastic parent volunteers, who generously gave their time to coach, manage, and support our teams throughout the day. Events such as Winter Gala Day would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of our parent helpers. Your encouragement, organisation, and enthusiasm helped make the day a great success for all involved.

Congratulations to all of our Year 5 and 6 students for their efforts, their participation, and some fantastic results.
