The Curiosity Project
Students have been working very hard on their Curiosity Projects. They had to choose a topic, different from anyone else’s in the class, and plan their project. Students participated in lessons about researching information on their Chromebooks, using Kiddle, a child safe website. They identified different subheadings to use, and practiced writing their information in their own words. Presentation was very important, so students were taught how to write their heading neatly and how to draw a border. They typed up their information, printed it, and choose drawings to go with their information. Drawings had to be clearly labelled. We were very impressed with their final products, and they are on display in our classrooms!

Maths
During our Maths lessons, we have been focussing on Length. We have identified how long we think 1 metre is, by drawing with chalk outside a line that we think is 1 metre long. By creating 1 metre strips of paper, we measured items around our classrooms, finding out what is longer, shorter, or the same length as 1 metre.

Homework
We hope the students enjoyed creating their own portrait for homework this week. Students had to draw their heads using the correct amount of squares. This followed on from our Area work two weeks ago.
Donut Day
Last Wednesday was Donut Day! Students were very excited about having a donut for their lunch, and they were not disappointed! Thanks to the PA for organising such a delicious fundraising event!
