News from Chad Elliott, Careers & Helen Leicht, VET
Our Years 11 and 12 Hospitality students have been extremely busy this term, catering for some important school events, including the Junior and Senior Unplugged nights and the Champagnat Day lunch.
These events provide valuable real-world learning opportunities, allowing students to experience the pressures and rewards of preparing quality food within strict time frames while ensuring meals are served fresh and presented to a high standard.
We extend our sincere thanks to Ms Adams for her invaluable assistance with the coordination and preparation of food for these events. We also express our appreciation to Mrs Bellerby for stepping into the Hospitality teaching role while Mrs McKenzie is on long- service leave. Her dedication and expertise have ensured the continuation of the high standards of food production and community service that our Hospitality program is known for. Thank you Mr Calvert for volunteering to assist in the kitchen.
Congratulations to all our Hospitality students for their hard work, professionalism and commitment throughout the term.
Ms Leicht – Head of VET
