On Friday August 21, the Year 3/4s will be attending Mass at St Francis Xavier church. Mass begins at 9:15am. Please join us in prayer if you are able to. Everyone is welcome!
We are thrilled to announce an exciting hands-on excursion to ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image) at Federation Square on Tuesday 15th September!
This excursion ties directly into our Term 3 Inquiry unit, Frame by Frame. During the day, students will:

Discover the magic of stop-motion animation, and introduce your students to the collaborative animation process. Using the principles of shape, colour, and pattern they will design and animate their own unique works.
Students will:
- will learn principles of animation
- explore the science behind animation
- create their own visually engaging stop-motion animation in a team.

In Mathematics, our Year 4s are stepping into the shoes of data analysts as we dive into Data Representation and Investigation. Students will be formulating their own questions, gathering data, and learning how to effectively organise and represent their findings using various tables and graphs. Beyond just creating charts, a major focus will be on interpreting data—analysing what the numbers actually reveal and using that evidence to draw meaningful conclusions!

The Year 3/4s are diving hands-on into the Stop Motion Studio app—experimenting with timing, frame rates, and small adjustments to bring their static ideas into seamless motion.
