- Participate in an exclusive, hands-on workshop called 'Stop Motion Startup', where they will put their classroom learning into action using professional animation tools.
Some details from the ACMI website:
Discover the magic of stop-motion animation! Using the principles of shape, colour, and pattern students will design and animate their own unique works.
Students will:
- learn principles of animation
- explore the science behind animation
- create their own visually engaging stop-motion animation in a team.
Permission Form Notice: A digital permission note will be released via NForma in the coming weeks. We will send out an update as soon as it is live and ready for you to complete!
Year 3 Numeracy
In Maths, our Year 3 students explored the exciting world of angles. They learnt to identify and compare right angles, angles smaller than a right angle, and angles greater than a right angle. To make learning hands-on and fun, students used their arms and legs to create different types of angles with their bodies before heading out on an 'Angle Hunt' around the school. They searched for and identified a variety of angles in their environment, helping them connect their classroom learning to the world around them.
Inquiry- Drawing a Storyboard
As part of the immersion phase of our Inquiry unit, the Year 3/4 students explored the process of creating a stop motion animation by designing their own storyboards. They carefully planned each scene, thinking about the sequence of events, characters, and camera angles to bring their ideas to life. This activity helped students understand the importance of planning before creating their animations and sparked their creativity for the exciting project ahead.
Have a great week!
