2026 Parent / Carer Opinion Survey

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR WHAT YOU THINK!

It’s time again for the annual Parent / Carer Opinion Survey, conducted by the Department of Education. The survey gives families an opportunity to share their views about our school, including school climate, student behaviour and student engagement.

Participation is optional, but we really encourage families to take part. Your feedback is important to us and helps us understand what we’re doing well, where we can improve and where we need to focus our planning and professional learning.

The survey will be open online from Monday 17th August to Friday 18th  September 2026, and all families are invited to participate. It takes around 20 minutes to complete and can be done at a time that suits you using a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

The survey is available in English and 10 other languages, including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish and Vietnamese. Support is also available for families who speak other languages at home.

Thank You

A big thank you to families for supporting us by keeping children at home when they’re unwell. There are plenty of colds, viruses and other bugs doing the rounds at the moment, and we have some particularly vulnerable members of our school community to protect. Illness also has a significant impact on staff attendance across the school. Most importantly, children who are feeling unwell are often tired, uncomfortable and miserable at school, particularly when we’re asking them to engage in learning or keep up with the day’s activities. We really appreciate your support in helping us keep everyone as healthy and well as possible.

Coming Up

Book Week

We’re looking forward to all the fun and learning that comes with Book Week. It’s always hard to tell who gets more excited about dressing up—the students or the staff! There will be plenty happening across the school, with our Book Week Dress Up Day on Friday 28th  August.

SSG Meetings 

Our next round of SSG meetings will be held on Monday 7th, Tuesday 8th and  Wednesday 9th September.

Bookings are now open through Compass. If you have any trouble making a booking online, please contact your child’s teacher through Admin or Seesaw and we’ll help organise a time.

Fathers and Special Persons Day Breakfast – Thursday 3rd  September

We’d love to see our dads and special people at our breakfast from 8.30–9.10am. Come along with your child for a bacon and egg roll or muesli and yoghurt, with GF and DF options available. Entry will be via the Gym door. Please RSVP using the form sent home so we have an idea of numbers for catering.

Footy Colours Day – Tuesday 15th September 

We’ll finish off the term with Footy Colours Day on Tuesday 15th September. Students and staff are encouraged to wear their team colours. More details to come!
