Performing Arts

Welcome to Term 3 of Performing Arts at Hamlyn Views School! 🎶

This semester, our focus in Performing Arts is MUSIC! Students have been exploring a range of fun and engaging musical experiences designed to develop their listening, communication, creativity and confidence. We have been experimenting with our voices, body percussion and a variety of instruments and exploring how we can use sound to express ourselves and respond to music.

Students have been practising keeping a beat, copying and creating simple rhythms, and responding to changes in tempo, volume and dynamics. We have also been singing along to familiar songs, exploring different sounds and instruments, and working together to make music as a group. 

Over the coming weeks, students will continue to explore listening, responding to and expressing themselves through music. Students will have opportunities to experiment with different instruments, create their own musical patterns and sounds, and develop their confidence in making music together. We look forward to sharing plenty of musical moments, creativity and fun throughout the semester!
