School Wide Positive Behaviour Support

School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) is an evidence-based framework that assists staff and students to develop and maintain a safe and supportive learning culture.

A big part of SWPBS is teaching and reinforcing positive social behaviours.

At Hamlyn Views School, we have a behaviour matrix outlining our school values and expected behaviours. Teachers positively reinforce student displaying our school values and expected behaviours through positive praise, specific task feedback and Monty tokens.

Students have been collecting their Monty tokens throughout the year, which they display in their classrooms on their token charts. Students can exchange their Monty tokens for a motivating item or activity and earn Monty dollars to spend at our school Monty Shop.

Some of our senior students in Green PLC have been organising the items in the Monty Shop each week and visiting classroom across the school with the mobile Monty Shop trolley so students can spend their Monty dollars.
