HaSS Week

This week we come together to celebrate HaSS Week.  HaSS is more than just a subject area we study at school. It is the story of who we are, where we come from, and where we are heading. It includes History, Geography, Economics and Business, and Civics and Citizenship — each helping us understand the world and our place within it. The HaSS Department and students came together to celebrate and learn all that is HaSS, events included:

• Staff historical character dress up
• Home room quiz with prizes.
• Name that legend quiz with prizes.
• HASS display in the Discovery Centre
• Medieval Catapult Challenge 
• Creating a HaSS career wall
• Year 7s making a time capsule
• Year 8s making a black death donut
• Year 9s food tasting of WWI trench food
• Year 10s completed HaSS-themed scavenger hunt
