GEC Basketball Academy

The GEC Basketball Academy made their competition debut at the Chase Basketball Academy tournament earlier in Term 2. Basketball Academy athletes were offered the opportunity to compete in a friendly format and put into practice the skills they have been developing at Academy sessions. The GEC Academy coaches were impressed with the level of skill, passion and teamwork shown from the cohort with all athletes improving as the tournament progressed. 

Congratulations to Fraser Vale who was recognised as the inaugural GEC Basketball Academy captain at this event as well as representing GEC in the three point shootout at the end of the tournament event.

Beachside Cross Country

On Friday 15th May 98 students competed in the Beachside division cross country competition. Congratulations to the students who have now made it through to the region finals later this term.
