School For Student Leadership

Hello, here at The School for Student Leadership, we are always busy, like just recently we did canoe and bridge building. In bridge building you had to make a bridge with only a few logs and ropes to tie ropes with, it was awesome fun! One of my favourite activities so far! Every day at 5:00 we have the chance to do DEARR, DEARR is a time to reflect about your day and your accomplishments and even how to improve on your errors. It is one of my favourite times in the day. I have made so many friends here and have made so many connections with them in only 1 week of being here out of the 6 I am here! It is awesome here and I would recommend it to anyone!

It's nearly been two weeks here at the School for Student Leadership, but so much has happened, it feels like it's been months. I have already made lots of new friends, and the community here is really nice. I've also strengthened my relationships with the other Glen Eira students as well, which goes to show how this experience brings people together. We do lots of fun things here like bridge building, mountain biking and canoeing. I'm definitely missing my life back home, though, and life isn't the same without my old friends and family. However, the good definitely outweighs the bad, and I would totally recommend it for anybody considering the experience.

Hey GEC, I’m having the best time at SSL! We do so many things here and there is never a dull time. We do biking, hiking, caving and more! I’ve made so many friends and I’ve got two roomies. We are having so much fun here. We have so many opportunities to have leadership roles and take on responsibilities that help you improve your abilities and take a step closer to becoming the best version of yourself. I personally look forward to the 3 day canoe expo that we are doing next week. I can’t believe it’s already been a week. I’m loving the food, the energy and the happiness that is shared every day. It’s just such a fun experience that I hope everyone will be able to encounter in their life.

Hello everyone, from the Gnurad Gundidj campus! We have explored canoeing, bridge building, hiking, bike riding, and the most interesting range of food. We have been here for nearly two weeks, and we have settled in really well. I have found a really great group of friends, and my roommate is really kind. I have really enjoyed the outback experience, and the work we have been doing has been really relevant and interesting.
