Dear Families,

It has been another positive and productive time at Le PagePrimary School, with many examples of our students, staff and families demonstrating the 7 Habits and contributing to the strong sense of community that makes Le Page such a special place to learn and grow. 

Principal’s Day

I would like to sincerely thank our students, families and staff for the wonderful generosity, kind messages and thoughtful gifts I received in recognition of Principal’s Day. I was genuinely touched by the many expressions of appreciation. Principalship is very much a team effort, and I feel fortunate to work alongside such committed staff ,supportive families and, most importantly, our wonderful students. In the spirit ofHabit 6 - Synergise, it is what we achieve together that makes the greatest difference. Thank you for making the day so memorable.

Another SRL Grant - A Student-Led Community Mural

I am delighted to share that Le Page Primary School has been successful in receiving another SRL grant, this time to create a student-led mural celebrating the Cheltenham community. This is an exciting opportunity for our students to have a genuine voice in creating something that will become partof our school for years to come. It connects beautifully with Habit 1- Be Proactive and Habit 2 - Begin With the End in Mind, as students will help shape the vision, contribute ideas and work collaboratively to bring the final artwork to life. We are currently considering possible locations for the mural. One option is the end of Block A facing the carpark. This would allow the artwork to be enjoyed not only by our school community, but also by people passing the school and the many families and sporting clubs using Le Page Park each weekend. Other possibilities include suitable walls on our Art Building, creating another vibrant feature within the school grounds. Wherever the final location, the mural will provide another opportunity to celebrate our students’ creativity, leadership and connection to the wider Cheltenham community. We look forward to involving our students in the process and sharing more as the project develops.

Every Minute of Learning Matters

A reminder to all families about the importance of students arriving at school on time and remaining at school until dismissal at 3.30pm. Every part of the school day is intentionally planned to maximise teaching and learning. Arriving late or regularly leaving early can mean missing important explicit teaching, instructions, discussions, reflection and opportunities to consolidate learning. Even small amounts of missed time can quickly accumulate. Being ready and on time also reflects Habit 3 - Put FirstThings First. Establishing strong routines around attendance and punctuality helps children understand that their learning is important and supports them to develop positive habits that will benefit them throughout their lives. Thank you to our families for working with us to ensurestudents arrive ready to learn and are able to participatefully in the entire school day. 

Continuing to Grow Together

At Le Page, we know that great schools are built throughstrong partnerships. When students, families and staff Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood, Think Win-Win and Synergise, we create an environment where every child has the opportunity to flourish. There is much to celebrate, and even more to look forward to. I encourage every student to continue setting goals, embracing challenges, supporting others and recognising that their choices each day contribute to their own growth and the culture of our school. Together, we will continue to identify the talent, develop the confidence and create the leader in every student. I leave you with a reminder of the potential that exists within every young person:
