CLEVER CLASS

Mr Kelly and Miss Negri have thoroughly enjoyed teaching Grade 6 while Mrs Collinson has been away enjoying her international travels. The class has loved following her journey and seeing the photographs she has shared.

We are all very excited to welcome Mrs Collinson back on Monday and cannot wait to hear more about her adventures!

Grade 6 students have been busy combining their learning across English and Health in a creative school-design project. Each student has designed a school they believe would be an amazing place to learn and has written a persuasive text aimed at convincing Mr Morgan to consider their ideas.

Their designs have included fantastic features such as additional indoor basketball courts, larger ovals with separate areas for football and soccer, swimming pools and extra classrooms. Students have been using persuasive language and strong supporting reasons to explain how their proposed changes would benefit the school community.

In Health, students have been exploring inclusivity and considering how their school designs could welcome and support everyone, including people with physical disabilities and different sensory needs. They have added thoughtful features such as accessible carousels, quiet areas, ramps alongside stairs, wheelchair swings and accessible trampolines. It has been wonderful to see students thinking carefully about how environments can be safe, welcoming and enjoyable for all.
