“Buongiorno a tutti,
Now that my time here for the Italian Language assistant program at Mazenod College has come to an end, I would like to share with you some of the highlights of this wonderful experience as a language assistant teacher in Perth. In the last few months, I have met so many amazing people, starting from Mrs Raschella and Miss Aguilar, with whom I have worked during the Italian lessons. I feel incredibly lucky to have shared this journey with you and to have learnt so much from the both of you. I also couldn’t have asked for better students. I had the best time while attending the classes and helping them throughout this term, and I will be forever grateful for this.
Furthermore, I have been to so many incredible places during my time here in WA (seeing the quokkas in Rotto was one of the most exciting things I have ever done!).
Therefore, before I return to my home in Italy, I would like to say thank you to the Mazenod community for your kindness and support during my stay. And most importantly, thank you to my amazing host family, the ‘Ryder family’: Tania, Matthew, Austin and Juliette, you really made me feel part of the family and I loved sharing so many precious moments with you. I could never thank you enough for that. Grazie di cuore. Western Australia will be forever in my heart!
- Patrizia Pelizzari (Brescia, Italy)”
