Year 8 Camp

Our Year 8 students returned from an unforgettable camp at Camp Rumbug, where three days of adventure, teamwork and laughter created memories they’ll carry well beyond 2025.

Students took on a wide range of activities designed to challenge their comfort zones and build resilience. Canoeing across the lake tested balance and coordination, while the famous Camp Rumbug mud run had everyone sliding, crawling and cheering each other on as they powered through the muck. The obstacle courses and flying fox proved equally popular, with students working in teams to climb, swing and scramble their way to the finish lines.

One of the most magical moments of the camp came after sunset, when the sky lit up with a rare and stunning display of the Aurora Australis – a natural phenomenon that many were seeing for the very first time.

Throughout the camp, students demonstrated teamwork, determination and a willingness to support one another through every challenge. Their energy and enthusiasm helped make this Year 8 Camp one of the most memorable yet.

A huge thank you to the staff who attended and to the students whose positivity and spirit made Camp Rumbug such a success. We look forward to seeing them carry this confidence and connection into the rest of their school journeys.
