Our Senior girls cricket team are forging ahead with their campaign for a state final. The team walked straight into the Regional Semi Final (5th March) after the opposition for the quarter final withdrew from the competition. The defeat of Dromana was swift, bowling the opposition out for 56, with four wickets to Annabel and two for Grace, Ruby and Hayley.
Mrs. Beames was behind the wheel of the bus on the long journey to Leongatha for the Southern Metropolitan Regional Final (16th March), where the time to travel took longer than the game. Cheltenham bowled Leongatha Secondary College for 49 runs. With all of the girls having a bowl there were a few extras in the scorebook. Mia made her highest score of 17. Well done to all of the girls and to Mrs Beames, we hope that you are all enjoying your time together this cricket season.

It seems that some Year 8 students aren't as sporty as others. There were low numbers across all sports which made it difficult to fill teams. The students that participated all had a great day. Congratulations to the boys volleyball team who progress through to the regional event.

After winning their Beachside Round Robin, our Intermediate Bowls team went to the Southern Metro Finals held in Mornington (20th March). Thank you Mr Rigby for taking the team, Owen B., Henry D, Mihalis T-S. and Flynn W-C.
Congratulations to all year 7 students on your first Interschool Sport day representing Cheltenham Secondary College. I am sorry that we could not find enough baseball players but we had full buses across other events. Well done to all our competitors Congratulations to our Year 7 Boys Cricket team who won their three games to progress to the Southern Metro finals.
